Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach

Kristin Marchese is the Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach of Lamar Women’s Lacrosse. Coach Marchese embodies the competitiveness, integrity, passion, work ethic, ability, and the experience to lead young women in lacrosse season and to help them become women of character. Her passion for the game of lacrosse is evident in everything she does.

Prior to joining Lamar Women’s Lacrosse Coach Marchese served as Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach, PE Teacher, Middle School Basketball Coach, and Volleyball Coach to The Village School in Houston.

Previously she was the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Intramural Coordinator at Newberry College in South Carolina. There, her duties included on and off campus recruiting, knowledge of NCAA rules, IRL, and acting as Compliance Assistant, assistance with practice, planning and scheduling of games as well as providing travel logistics for the team.

Prior to joining Newberry, she was an assistant girl’s varsity lacrosse coach at The Lovett School in Atlanta. Marchese also served as the head coach of the Lions’ middle school squad. During the 2012 season The Lovett School’s varsity squad saw one student-athlete named to the all-state second team, while three were honored as all-area selections.

Marchese previously was a member of the University of South Carolina club women’s lacrosse team. At South Carolina, Marchese was named 2007 All-Southeastern Women’s Lacrosse League. In 2007 and 2008, Marchese served as the team captain before being named the vice-president of the club women’s lacrosse team during the 2008-09 season.

Prior to joining the Gamecocks club lacrosse side, Marchese starred as an attacker for Harrison High School in Kennesaw, GA., earning All-American honors as a senior. During her senior season, Marchese was also honored as one of three Hoyas named to the Georgia Girls Lacrosse All-State First Team. The 2005 season also saw Marchese named Cobb County All-State and Cobb County Women’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Year.

A Dean’s List member at the University of South Carolina, Marchese graduated in 2009 with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management. During the end of her final year at South Carolina, Marchese served as a Marketing and Sales Intern for the Vanderbilt University athletics department in Nashville. Upon graduating Marchese joined the season ticket sales department in Glendale, Arizona with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
